OVBI is the Overseas arm of the Volunteers for a Better India.

We build bridges with institutions and individuals working for a better India. Through our efforts, we seek to cultivate leaders and empower the future generation of Indians worldwide.

OVBI has grown both in scope and scale and has become an important platform for the Indian diaspora to contribute and give back, whether it is through facilitating dialogue with stakeholders, implementing low cost, high quality sustainable solutions, and creating ecosystems where people can collaborate and create greater synergy.

Even though we strive to improve the global Indian community, OVBI is inclusive of all races, nationalities, ethnicities, religions, languages, sexual orientation, gender and gender identity, abilities, and generations, and our programs’ success reflects and honours the diversity of our community. We believe that every individual can make a meaningful impact on others.

Mission

To build capacity, technology and a support network to strengthen Rural India specifically with river rejuvenation, hygiene, education, human trafficking, and related projects.

To forge beneficial alliances with other organizations to accelerate impact and create greater synergy to improve the lives of Indians in India and abroad.
